We are an independent training provider and engineering consultancy business with a combined 20+ years of experience in the Ex Equipment and Certification industry. We have worked in the design and manufacture of Ex systems, equipment and for an ATEX/IECEx/NRTL Certification Body.

As Ex businesses grow and modernise, we believe the newer generation of engineers and technicians need to be empowered with the knowledge to grow and innovate our industry.
We believe we can help to remove the barrier to entry by making Ex training (ATEX and IECEx) accessible, and providing not just training, but the tools to apply the training going forward as experience and competence grows.
Our courses cover the history and the “why” of each subject, so as well as gaining the technical knowledge, you gain a much deeper understanding and insight.

Hi, I’m Jon, born and bred in Cornwall and lucky enough to still call the coast my home (albeit the slightly colder North East coast). With a First Class Engineering degree and 9-year-old twins keeping me on my toes, I know how to tackle challenges head-on, both in life and in work.
I’m passionate about helping people grow, push boundaries, and achieve their goals, while making the journey fun and building an independent business along the way. Whether it’s staying fit, taking on new adventures, or supporting others through personal and professional development, I believe in living with purpose, energy, and a splash of saltwater.

Hi, I’m Ben, originally from Yorkshire I am now based in the North East of England with my wife and young son. I hold a First Class Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have always had a natural curiosity for how things work, whether it’s solving complex problems, improving systems, or navigating the everyday puzzles of a toddler.
I’m a down-to-earth, approachable person who believes in making things simple, effective, and reliable. Sport helps me stay focused, and I bring that same mindset into my work: staying sharp, learning constantly, and moving things forward with purpose. I value honest conversations, straightforward thinking, and working together to find solutions without overcomplicating things.
